Thank you. IMHO that nails it down about as hard as is possible. Note that KBLB has exclusive rights to the use of the piggyBac in silkworms so there is no way that any other company could own rights in this work.

It absolutely positively does involve both ND and UW: Dr.s Fraser, Jarvis and Lewis are all listed in the publication. (Transporter provided a very good explanation of why Drs Fraser and Lewis were not mentioned in the PRs and apparently he was dead right.)

Because of the percentage of SSP in the silk we know that it was written on the result of the first transgenic worms to produce silk containing SSP and not the Monster Silk worms that came late. So all the worries about the 5% figure being inconsistent and maybe indicating it was some other company are completely refuted.

And first-mike cleared up the confusion between strength and toughness (again, my apologies for that mistake) so we know that the observation that the silk is as TOUGH as spider silk does not conflict with our knowledge that the later silk with better commercial properties is "only" 80% of the STRENGTH of spider silk.

"Signed, sealed and delivered" AFAICS!

And thanks to King Bolaba for first bringing the news articles to our attention.

A little cooperation on DD can go a LONG way!

Now KBLB should be able to talk freely about the work without any fear of taking the wind out of the researchers' sails.

Perhaps that has been holding up discussions of the platform worm etc.

On to the next milestone and the CC!

Results of the 2nd round of ZF GMs should be very close to ready if not in hand already and, IMHO, were likely to have been the factor determining the timing of the upcoming CC
