One thing to consider about the photo is yes they would definitely have to get Motorola and Verizon's permission to use that phone shot but why would they say no to a photo of Justin Bieber holding their Droid X phone. It's an older phone (I have exact one) but I'm sure it would increase sales for them.
That said a partnership with both or either would be very profitable for all involved.
