I believe you are wrong. Details which are not included in general PR statements I would consider news.

I lean toward thinking there will be a PR before the CC.

Then the CC can include details about the PR which were not fully expounded. Thus, it becomes news.

In fact, many companies' conference calls contain Q & A which gives more details which may not have been publicly announced - thus 'news.'

So, I think you are wrong.
