THE CYBER NOZE: This instrument utilizes gas chromatography and surface acoustical wave technology to detect the presence of the vapors released by explosives, narcotics, chemical weapons, and other contraband. The CYBER NOZE instrument takes its sample through the container’s venting system, thereby protecting the examiners from having to open the container and expose themselves to a potentially dangerous threat. The entire screening protocol takes less than one minute. The data is transferred to port command and control using a wireless link. The CYBER NOZE will both identify and quantify the threat.
