We are where we are, regardless of who is responsible. The big, fat recession caused by the housing and finacial crises turbocharged the debt. Put it on steroids. I feel that the blame should be placed on Greenspan, but that is a personal opinion.

The blame game isn't productive. How do we get out of this mess?

With two political parties who hate each other, I don't think problem will be solved, unless Ron Paul is elected! (That is a joke, by the way.)
