Flippers, shorts, day traders, whatever we might called them will back off some if it's harder for them to get their shares and make the quick buy and sell. By "squeezing" them with constant pressure, taking the shares, keeping a small ratio between the bid and ask, these types will start to move on to other victims.

Once we can eat away at these big blocks of shares the MM's are throwing up there, you'll see the thing start moving.

Slapping the ASK, helps the PPS maintain and gets the shares into our hands. Supporting the bids, helps keep them from driving it down and keeps the BID/ASK ratio tight.

Flippers don't want to work for their quick buck, so most will leave.
