The thing about news releases is, they often cause the market to rise, even if the news isn't great. When there's selling pressure on a stock, the company will typically inundate the market with news releases, in an attempt to stop the falling price. News gives investors comfort that someone's minding the store. So why would FOGC not be acting in typical public company fashion? Red flags go up when the market gets inundated with P.R. when there's zero selling pressure and the market's rising, then P.R. comes to a screeching halt when selling pressure hits the company's market. The question that investors should ask themselves is: who stands to gain by a low price? Why isn't FOGC sending out P.R. in order to stop the market's downward spiral?
