Not at all scuba! It's very simple on my view. People are really paying more for the big things oil, gas, utilities, prop taxes, state income taxes, etc. across the U.S. These items consume a very large % of disposable incomes.

Sure, prices in the stores are not rising in many respects. However, what we buy often comes in smaller sizes or/with cheaper material inputs This is disguised inflation by any definition. also, I don't believe measuring price changes Q to Q or year over year is that meaningful. Take a longer term view and it's obvious we're ALL paying more for things.

Numbers out of china are not reliable in my view and our govt officials are masters in number massaging.
