Is it possible that the A/S is as high as it is to cover POSSIBLE debt conversion or conversion of preferred shares into common shares?

Again, JUST A question. Someone is going to call me an idiot and bash me saying I'm a basher, but I'm hoping someone intelligent can confirm or deny my speculation as for the reason of the "high" A/S...
