Tenderloin...

What peeked my interest in GPX 900 is the fact that if you look under "FEATURES", the second item reads, MP3,WMA and "future formats"...

It would be nice to find out how they plan to do this?...

For example, are they using a TI platform with Mos on it which gives them the ability to make such claim? Or, are they planning to increase the size of their hard disk to accomodate
other formats in the future?...

We already know that MOS is not needed when making MP3 players that play the two formats, MP3 and WMA...

We also know that the TI platform is out there, and can be bought by OEMS such as BANTAM to make widgets for their customers...

We also know, from Creative's experience, that making MP3 players based on hard disk technology with multi codec capability makes them bulky and not that competitive in a market where small is a big selling point...

So, we are left with the two options:

1) BANTAM is using a TI platform for the 900 which gives them
the ability to make the claim their uint can be multi-codec operational...

2) They have developed the technology that can do what MOS does...

My guess...The unit is a "clone" of 0-1000...
