SGR: There are a lot of dire predictions out there for 2012. Europe disintegrating, another serious recession - Globally and in the U.S. with the S&P, DOW, etc crashing. I did not start looking at pennies until 2010, so I could not experience how they performed in the 2008 debacle. There are no penny indexes (that I know of) to provide a history how pennies did during that time. I think that if those bad things mentioned start happening, MMTC should hold up pretty well, but may not skyrocket as some expect unitl the general recovery begins. Since your identity was born about the same time as mine, you may be in the same boat as me. Do any other board members out there have examples of pennies that did really well during 2008? Thanks.
