Nothing shady. Just MM's selling to each other at basement prices trying to stir up some action. To get the cheapies you must place a bid for over 5000 shares above the current bid, then they must go through you to sell to a friend. If your bid isn't showing (its lower than the stated bid/ask) they can bypass you.
By using this format I have always got my shares . Make sure you are the showing bid, and it must be over 5000, they will sell you the diference between 5000 and what you are bissing for to knock you off the bid, but you get some shares.
