General Electric Board Approves Quarterly Dividend Increase to $0.17 Per Share 12/09 09:39 AM



11:39 AM EST, 12/09/2011 (MidnightTrader) -- General Electric (GE:$16.93,00$0.62,003.80%) today announced that its board of directors has approved an increase to its quarterly dividend by $0.02 to $0.17 per outstanding share of the company's common stock. The prior dividend was $0.15 per share.
The new dividend is payable Jan. 25, 2012 to shareholders of record at the close of business on Dec. 27, 2011, with an ex-dividend date of Dec. 22, 2011.
Shares are up 3.43% to $16.87, near the lower end of the 52-week range of $14.02 - $21.65.
