Just to give everyone a heads up. Regarding the BC securities commission trading halt. On Tuesday evening we received a fax without warning that Fox Petroleum was being halted in the province of BC for failure to report. As a US based issuer we were unaware that we even needed to file in the province. They informed us that because our Secretary was a resident of BC that this needed to occur. Fox Petroleum has already uploaded all of its financial statements to the BC securities commission through our Canadian Lawyer.
We have been on the phone with BC regulators and they have seen our financial statements and we expect the trading ban to be removed in 48-72 hours. Naturally we as a company were angry that they did this without warning. We apologize to all shareholders of Fox Petroleum, however we had no idea that they were doing this and we had no idea that because we had a Canadian Secretary we needed to file this.
As a Canadian citizen I was very offended that they did this subjecting ourselves to scrutiny world wide when we have always been in compliance. Unfortunately I only see these Draconian measures whereby foreign entities can affect US based issuers only increasing. We also asked why they didnt give us 30 days to report which would be a normal cause of action and they said that they do not do this. So as a company this came out of left field and we have no doubt it will be resolved in a day or so.
