-- Vaclav Prospal, Lightning, had a goal and three assists as Tampa Bay snapped Ottawa's five-game winning streak with a 6-2 victory.
-- Marc Denis, Blue Jackets, had 37 saves as Columbus beat Chicago 5-1.
-- Craig Conroy, Flames, had two goals and an assist as Calgary edged Edmonton 4-3.
-- Daniel Briere, Coyotes, scored twice as Phoenix snapped a six-game winless streak with a 3-1 win against San Jose.
SURGING
St. Louis moved 13 games over .500 and past Stanley Cup champion Detroit atop the Central Division following Monday night's 5-3 victory over Carolina. The Blues are 10-1-1-2 against Eastern Conference teams. ... Marty Turco stopped 33 shots as Dallas extended its unbeaten streak to 11 (8-0-3) with a 1-1 tie against Colorado. The Stars are unbeaten in seven games against the Avalanche (4-0-3), including 2-0-2 this season.

STREAKING
Florida's Olli Jokinen scored for the sixth time in as many games Monday night, a 3-2 loss to Montreal.

SLUMPING
Boston is just 2-8-1 in 11 games following Monday's 3-3 tie with Washington.

LONGEVITY
Patrick Roy became the first NHL goalie to play 1,000 games, stopping 29 shots in Colorado's 1-1 tie with Dallas on Monday night.

SNAPPED
Vaclav Prospal had four points and Martin St. Louis added a goal and two assists as Tampa Bay stopped an 11-game winless streak against Ottawa (0-10-1) with a 6-2 victory Monday night. ... Montreal ended a five-game road losing streak with a 3-2 win over Florida.

SPECIAL TEAMS
Minnesota has not allowed a power-play goal in six games, during which opponents are 0-for-23 with the man advantage.

STRANGE
Tampa Bay has just two wins in its last 10 games (2-6-1-1), against defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit and league-leading Ottawa. The Lightning's previous win against the Senators was March 30, 2000, with Zac Bierk in goal. Bierk, now playing for Phoenix, recorded his first NHL victory since then on Monday night, 3-1 over San Jose.

NOT SO SWEET HOME
Carolina lost its franchise-record seventh straight home game Monday night, 5-3 to St. Louis. The Hurricanes are 1-10-1-1 in their last 13 overall.

SCORING
Tampa Bay center Vincent Lecavalier has reached 20 goals in four straight seasons.

SIDELINED
Philadelphia forward Justin Williams will have reconstructive knee surgery that is expected to keep the 21-year-old out the rest of the season after injuring his left knee in Saturday's victory over Tampa Bay.
