It actually says they have .4 days to cover. That is a very short time from what i see. I guess with the stock in an uptrend the brokers are forced to " buy to cover " almost on a daily basis and in some cases on in inter day basis. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Shorts keep shorting and the previous shorts have to buy to cover add the regular buying to this action and it keeps the uptrend going for a long time....
