It will be most satisfying to see if doctors can bypass damaged spinal nerves by using spider silk as an electrical pathway or entice new nerve cells to generate along a spider silk scaffolding to form new neural pathways to assist paralyzed patients. Maybe a combination of spider silk and stem cells could do the trick?

Ahhhh imagine the possibilities ... cancer killing proteins custom designed in spider worms to block receptor sites ... etc, etc, etc, ... BASF ... "we don't make the product, we make the product better" but in KBLB's case it will be ... "we don't make the product, we make the product possible!"

... so where is that first sample of pure spider silk anyways? 16 days until the first day of winter ... it should be late fall about now eh?
