How do you know she has been given a waiver by her source?

must be another miller

Ms. Miller has been jailed for refusing to cooperate with a grand jury subpoena directing her to testify about "a specified executive branch official" whose identity is known to the special prosecutor in the case, according to court papers. But Ms. Miller refuses to rely on the waiver the source signed or the sort of assurances that have satisfied other reporters.

Times Executive Editor Bill Keller said Miller is doing a "brave and honorable" thing. "The simple fact is that Judy made a promise to a source that she would protect his anonymity. That source has not granted her any kind of a waiver from that promise, at least one that she finds persuasive or believes was freely given, and she feels bound by that pledge. And more than that, she feels that, if she breaks that pledge, she will compromise her ability to do her job in the future."

it is the source's privilege to be protected, not the reporter's........if this source did sign a general waiver, then why is she persisting, and why is the nytimes editor so adamant that she stay in jail........is there something more to this?.....i'm rather sure there is

one thing's for sure.......it's obvious that her source is not karl rove
