NEOMEDIA CLEARING HURDLES

Two things of note about NeoMedia Technologies (NEOM) -- first, a new mobile phone domain called ".mobi" is being started to run alongside the ".com," and ".net," domains. This is great for NEOM.

There are 1.8 billion handsets out there but only 12%, so far, have accessed the Web from all these phones -- slow Internet
pages is the reason. The .mobi domain will allow advertisers with Word Registry from PaperClick to have MUCH better responding pages.

The second thing is that NEOM announced an out-of-court agreement with AirClic Inc. In April 2004, NeoMedia sued AirClic charging patent infringement, and AirClic filed a countersuit seeking to invalidate several of NEOM's patents.

While terms were not released, the agreement calls for AirClic to compensate NeoMedia and set a schedule for future compensation by AirClic -- with the companies dropping their respective lawsuits and leaving open the possibility of future collaboration. The companies also agreed that AirClic's current business mod (mobile enterprise solutions) is not in NeoMedia's space.

Finally, AirClic did not receive a license to use NeoMedia's patented PaperClick technology.

I'm sure you also remember that NeoMedia announced a few weeks ago that Virgin Entertainment had agreed to a settlement and will license the PaperClick technology through 2016.

Now the way is clearing for the joint venture I anticipate with Microsoft or Google to bring Word Registry to the world.

If you feel the excitement, then you must be a ChangeWave MicroCap investor!
