I don't think WE need to do anything. Jason Dussault needs to do something..... specifically, he needs to sell the show to a US company, but more importantly, he needs to write a Q that reflects that they are selling stuff.
They are more interested in linking to blog posts and youtube clips than to pages that will make us money. According to spyfu, they don't spend ANY money on google adwords. You all talk about this hartandsole website, but from what I can tell, they are just another rinky dink website that sells stuff. I stopped into a Lids and didn't see any Jason's hats and the guy working basically didn't have any idea what I was talking about. Perhaps NOT doing google adwords is the correct choice, given the current financial situation, but then they should be utilizing social media to sell stuff, as that is the end goal of an apparel company.... not having fill in the blank contests. Shoot... they don't even know how to run a contest right... do something that will generate interest and buzz for them.
My opinion is that they need to get picked up by a US tv giant and the machine needs to take over. Jason needs to take some advice from Gene... MAKE MONEY. When effin disco was popular, Kiss made disco. When the execs told them then needed a ballad... even though they vowed to never make a ballad... bam, it made them richer. Gene sells stuff and Jason writes blog posts. Jason, start selling stuff.
