As I recall, there have been some payments in stock, but not too many. There are 165,308,998 shares outstanding out of an authorized 500,000,000. I think the short interest of 52% probably has more to do with it.

Since they've now begun producing gold, have increased the placer capacity and begun drilling for the 43-101 report, it's only a matter of time before those speculators get in their shorts.
