Researcher, I've been watching this option expense issue very closely to see how investors will react in the coming fiscal year. Many felt that expensing options AND including them in fd share counts went too far.....but I also feel that companies shouldn't have been allowed to write off those option expenses as tax deductions if they weren't expensing them on the income statement.

A lot of companies we follow could be hurt by this if investors decide to keep PE expectations the same but on lower eps.

I'm guessing that many institutions will strip out the option expense items and continue to focus on EBITDA growth and free cash flow; individuals may treat them very differently....we'll see.
