What's that Josh some more of that juicy insider information that only you seem to get...LOL

Did you Call Dr. J again because I sure did not see a PR saying:

Siggy, Duraflame lowered their prices and our logs could not compete. All the production is ging into pellets.

Is it really because Duraflame lowered prices or are your soucres making up excuses or even lying to you Josh?

Because from my research Duraflame doesn't seem to think lowering prices is of value to the customer:

“The recession has had little impact on the volume of our business. More people have been staying at home and using their fireplaces and want a quality, reliable fire log to create that cozy home environment,” said Wohle.

While some competitors have been trading down the size of fire logs and pack sizes in order to lower prices in response to the recession, she says Duraflame has focused on providing customers with better quality through higher performing logs.

“At the end of the day people are interested in getting good value as opposed to just something cheap,” she said.

Josh if you acutally did any DD what so ever you would see that it couln't be Duraflame that was the problem, How do you blame your failure on the number one competitor when you can't even beat the number two competitor?

Fire log shipments are estimated at $220 million a year, with Duraflame and Pine Mountain Firelogs being the primary suppliers. Duraflame claims to have the majority share in those shipments.

So what are you or Dr.J going to make up next for an excuse...LOL... how about rising oil prices?

Escalating oil prices lit a fire under Stockton, Calif.-based Duraflame Inc. to shift its entire petroleum-based production to a biobased one.

Or how about Carl couldn't compete against Duraflame because they have all the self space at Wallmart?

Duraflame expects to continue sharing shelf space with petroleum-based logs at Wal-Mart stores, which employ a two-supplier policy, Caron says

How about some truth Josh, like GKG just sucks...LOL... Or the cost of Viaspace overblown Executive Salaries is making it impossible for this company to compete agains anyone in any market

An before you say he deserves his salary, take a look at what the CEO of Dell makes.

Notice his base salary is $686,731 before stock options and bounus Etc.

http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/people/person.asp?personId=24435944&ticker=DELL:US&previousCapId=266017&previousTitle=DELL%20INC

Dr.K's base salary is $241K times two for being CEO of two companies that are really one company both of which are failing

Dell on the other hand:

Year over year, Dell Inc. has been able to grow revenues from $52.9B to $61.5B. Most impressively, the company has been able to reduce the percentage of sales devoted to cost of goods sold from 82.05% to 81.38%. This was a driver that led to a bottom line growth from $1.4B to $2.6B.

And don't forget Josh... We pay Chang $240K+ and his employees to run IPA not Dr.K ...LOL

So in reality Dr.K has not generated one dime to earn his salary as since this whole GKG deal started..

PS. Happy Thanksgiving .... Dr. K should be thankful ... by the way where is the PR about Viaspace helping to feed the hungry or supporting a community event...LOL
