Interesting that they seem so intent on partnering 1020 right now, as opposed to waiting for the results in early 2013. I realize this has to do with financial constraint concerns, but I'd like to see them be able to wait until the full results are known to maximize their negotiating leverage. I realize that's a much riskier approach given the trial could fail to show cognitive benefit, but what are the odds they'll be able to land a nice partnering deal with good terms due BLRX in front of those results? (Not entirely sure the partnering interest will be there anyways in front of these results but, if so, presumably at much less lucrative terms for BLRX.) BLRX does have an extensive pipeline so I wouldn't view a failure of 1020 as crippling for the company, which is why I would like them to roll the dice on the results before landing a deal.
