Producer Peter Hoffman has stated that the Looper and Expendables 2 star is already on board the upcoming film adaptation of the 1984 award winning sci-fi novel by William Gibson?.

Neuromancer, the renown 1984 novel that won the Nebula Award, Philip K. Dick Award, and Hugo Award, was author William Gibson's debut novel and the beginning of his Sprawl trilogy. The science fiction tale tells the story of a washed-up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to pull off the ultimate hack.

Splice director Vincenzo Natali has been tapped to helm the highly anticipated adaption for some time; though due to it's consistent pre-production delays it's not clear whether he will stay on board. Milla Jovovich? (Resident Evil) was also attached.

At the American Film Market, producer Peter Hoffman -- who is currently making the rounds seeking financing for the project -- stated that Bruce Willis is already a lock to star in the film. He also said Transformers and G.I. Joe film franchise producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura is attached as well. Willis' agent did not confirm the claim, but did say the actor was "currently reading the script."
