Nasdaq to transfer control of OTC market to NASD

SAN FRANCISCO, July 8 (Reuters) - Nasdaq Stock Market Inc. (NDAQ.O: Quote, Profile, Research) on Friday said it plans to move its Over-the-Counter Bulletin Board (OTCBB) business made up of thinly traded stocks to the National Association of Securities Dealers.
The transfer is subject to approval from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the signing of a definitive deal, and other necessary approvals.
