BigRain, typically when there is no merit for a company to drop in such a way particularly with growing core business and with additional technical hints showing strength (ie: heavy accumulation on price drops) ... IMO , done for weeks or months time, gradually equals to a slow and monotonous attempt in accumulating shares at lower prices (done by the specialist for their bigger clients)
