SAN JOSE, CA - Nov. 15, 2011 - OCZ Technology Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:OCZ), a leading provider of high-performance solid-state drives (SSDs) for computing devices and systems, is proud to announce the Vertex 3 SSD Series received a PCMag Gold Best of the Year award for 2011.

The Best of the Year award recognizes outstanding technology in various categories, and to qualify each product must have been tested by a PCMag analyst in the mid-November 2010 to November 1, 2011 time period. PCMag's experts evaluate products using industry-standard benchmark tests and a variety of reproducible internal tests. In these tests the Vertex 3 came out ahead of all other SSDs for its chart-topping performance in the PCMag test suite, and was previously granted an Editor’s Choice award and a final score of 4.5 out of 5.

In the Best of the Year 2011 coverage, Matthew Murray, PCMag Lead Analyst states: "OCZ's flagship SSD is the fastest we've tested overall, and the hefty capacity of this model makes it something you can use as your primary system drive without hating yourself in the morning.
