Yep, never thought we should have went off the Gold Standard and even argued with economist Donald Ratacheck on the issue. There has to be some constant that currency is based on and since gold has been it for centuries. Problem remains government like having the power of a floating currency to hide their sins along with the bankers. IMHO a floating currency does hurt society as a whole and favors the wealthy.
