Lambeau Field Placard Stunt to Honor Veterans

The Green Bay Packers are asking fans to help salute veterans at Monday night's game.

Fans will use placards to turn Lambeau Field into a ring of stars and strips and to spell out the message "Thank you military. Thank you veterans."

When fans get to their seats, they'll find a packet with a card and instructions to help during the pre-game ceremony.

"So right when the national anthem starts, we have people in the stands, they hold up a cue card that says 'Ready for card stunt,' and you hold up your card," game and fan development manager Kandi Goltz said, "and there's a little viewing window on the card so that you can actually see everything else that's going on on the field and you can see the whole picture that everyone made."

More than 90 people from the Brown County Volunteer Center and local ROTC worked over the weekend to make sure each card is in just the right place in the stadium for tonight's stunt.

The Packers conducted a similar placard stunt during the opening game of the regular season in September.
