I think you misread what was said! The CEO stated that in 2012 they will go to market with their new partner, he did not say he would find a partner in 2012. The partnership will be announced soon is what he stated.

It doesn't make common sense to create a partnership before FDA approval when you are such a small company that was struggling to get FDA approval, along with a history of disappointments w/the FDA to date, but that has all changed now! IGXT is now sitting in the driver seat and can evaluate every one interested and decide on best opportunity. Given this recent FDA approval, they certainly made huge strides in validating their ability to take a drug from inception all the way to FDA approval without help from a big pharma partner.
