Don't you love Shalloub? The first time I noticed him was in Big Night, a scene where he's in the bank asking for more money to support the restaurant. Once in awhile a scene really sticks out in your mind. I was touched by his ability to show humanness, idealism and innocence. I fell in love with him as an actor.
Did you not love when Sharona found out what the beads meant that she'd gotten at that party?!!! Ha!
I love Monk!!!!! There were a few episodes where he started to play the part a bit too cavalier, slaphappy almost. It took him a tad too out of character and I almost lost it for the show. A scene in the jogger/furniture salesman one, when they're following the trail and Shalloub is being too goofy/toying with his character - spoiled the purity of who he is supposed to be for me for a few episodes. Now, remember, I see them out of sync, on videos. We don't get whatever channel it's on. That could be the last one of the series for all I know. But he was back in character in the ones I saw the other night, which I'll watch again because I was so tired. I adore the show.
I hear they replaced Sharona? Is it true? WHY?!! I loved her.
My husband brings them home for me as a little treat once in awhile cause he knows I love them.
