I need to have my gut reaction tempered here, so I'm just asking....

....who sends 4 employees to a biotech conference "just to meet with investors" if they have no presentation to make at the conference? If they don't have something really interesting to present between now and the conference, isn't that the dumbest thing ever? I mean, if you're otherwise noteworthy to date for nothing in particular?

I mean, if I put out a personal press release and said I was going to be in front of Abercrombie & Fitch in Manhattan to sign autographs and answer questions, but I was presenting or performing nothing, wouldn't people find that a bit odd? Unless I wrote a cool book, or a recorded a cool song, or started going out with Lindsay Lohan or something?

Or am I off base? Am I reading too much into this?
