9.3 million shares to the downside is an awful lot of selling. There must have been a lot of institutional selling. Whoever used stoplosses on Ariad was stopped out today. They would have used 12, the recent high and taken 8 to 10 % below as a stop loss. At one point it was down over 13 % today. I have kicked myself many times over the years for not using stops on many stocks. Even now I wonder if selling part of my holdings of Ariad is the thing to do.
