Well I just sent my (latest) bitchy email to Comcast in my area as per the article. I threw in a new twist this time, that if they would not begin reflecting the community they service (SF Bay Area) more adequately I would introduce the notion at open City Council meetings that they were not meeting the requirements of their charter, and that their charter be revoked and given to another company. Whistling down the wind, perhaps, but I do recall when I lived in Jersey that the cable company promised our township a lot of stuff to grant them the charter, among them a local government access channel and also an educational access channel for the school system. When they dragged their feet on the latter, the idea of revoking their charter was introduced on those grounds...suddenly they "found" the bandwidth and a month later and we had our Educational Access channel. Use the words "revoke" and "charter" when you email your cable company. That's the only language they understand. If you know how to get word of your support for QTN to whoever in your area deals with the cable provider charter (usually the Mayor's Office) you might contact them as well. That's where these issues are raised in a proper forum that the companies actually have to answer to. Cheers.
