Howard Schulz, the founder of Starbucks is a man with a vision. He took some chances along the way and they paid off. He has successfully made Starbucks the 3rd meeting place (home and work being the others).
They were by no means a smash out of the gate, but they relied on one underlying principle. That principle is quality. They want their customers to truly "experience" Starbucks. The stores cater to the customers.
If Q remains committed to quality, they will be fine. A few more pieces have to fall into place, but it is that way for a lot of companies.
