Steph, the basic facts are these:

(1) Islam is a beautiful religion that worships Allah
with the whole heart and whole soul and whole
strength.

(2) Unlike other religions, Islam is also a form of
GOVERNMENT. The Governmental aspects of Islam
do NOT manifest until the Islamic sub-population
reaches a critical mass in which a system of Mullahs
begins to exercise control over this Muslim sub-
population; this control is in the form of SHARIA LAW.
This desire to live under SHARIA LAW is a natural part
of being a devout Muslim; however, this natural desire
puts the Muslim sub-pop on a collision course with
any NON-Muslim host gov.

PS: This phenomenon can be observed in Nigeria
and Somalia and the Philippines and India and
Pakistan and Israel and Great Britain and the
Netherlands and Sweden and Denmark and France
and Tunisia and Libya and Egypt and the Pacific
Rim and Afghanistan and Ethiopia and the Sudan
and Germany and Itally and Michigan ... etc.
