TDGI is a distributor. they didnt pay to make the films, they make agreements to put films in theatres and get a percentage of the gross. what did they pay 500 grand for the distribution rights? dont have the dd on that handy. but i fail to see where you think they arent gonna make money on the film..
the ceo didnt make the claim of 100,000 a theatre. he speculated based on an exlusive release in another box office chain. its a wait and see really but im pretty sure theyll be ok on it. i wouldnt go to the thetre and watch the film, but if netflix had it i certainly would.
you arent talkin about Joe's yank it porn theatre backing the movie. you're talking about Regal. they arent freekin stupid there was a reason they made the agreement.
