I don't recall a PR about failing a wear test. I do recall AFT identifying wear issues with the current crop of diesel fuel injectors modified to run JP-8. AFT'S suggestion to the Army was to use AFT'S specially designed injectors instead that will run JP-8 well since it was designed for DME which has similar wear characteristics.
