So why doesn't he ?

;) lol He left the mainstream for the sole purpose to create games that offer an alternative to the blood and gore that consumes the gaming market.

To answer the second part of your question. What is the ONLY reason private companies go public? Do you think it's because they want investors breathing down their neck, critiquing their every mood? They do it BECAUSE the need money. Plain and simple.
