Thanks, I have just started researching Passport and while I do a lot of mining company research, this is another ballgame.

We are south of Tucson in "copper" country but used to travel I-40 a lot so know the area pretty well.

I am assuming you are talking about open pit vs underground mining.
Obviously open pit is the cheapest way to get the potash to the processing plant but it leaves the landscape destroyed for our lifetimes.
