One other thing though is the Itanium2 score was an old one. The latest I2 score is 600 also.

... and the cynic in me is inclined to presume the K8 bench was a new one?

I've noticed a lot of really shoddy journalism surrounding benchmarks and the K8 lately. Unfortunately it looks like I'm add to yet another "story" to the list.
