I worked in a public utility serving water, reclaimed water and sewer services for over 30 years. The video of the directional drilling and fusible PVC installation in New Zealand (webpage reference in Andy's newsletter) is truly impressive. The only time I have seen something similar was the installation of a small diameter fiber optic cable under a small creek. The video is an accurate representation of aq difficult task that ended up successful. I hope it increases UGSI exposure with the engineering community.
