RD, I know the trading privilege has been on lock since April. Believe me we've all been gauking at that.

I was being ficitious when I was advised by two large firms the DTC stepped in and didn't allow the transfer of stocks between two brokerages. That part is NEW.
No one could trade, but for the past few months people were able to at least move their securities elsewhere if they wanted to. (by this I mean move the papers from one place to the other, not actually trading it)

Bottom line DTC - Government body is being perversive with this lock and not advising the professional firms what the news is and what is about to happen.
