Ahhh! Pecan Pickin...1999 Blinn College Brenham Texas...My daughter was a coach at the college and I was visiting and witnessed all the townfolk come out on the weekend to pick Pecans off the ground,just literally millions had fallen from these huge Pecan trees on campus, apparently it is an annual event that has been going on for over 60 years...I was amazed at the actual size and production from these huge old trees and the beauty they add to campus is a testament to all things bigger in Texas and "dont mess with Texas" I heard later that the ground crews work continuously cleaning up after these trees as I guess they are quite messy throughout the year....our traditional thanksgiving pie is Pumpkin...I allow myself only one wedge of pecan/yr....I could make money selling the 1/2 bushel for 1 ounce but I don't think you can ship across border (food items) many here have pecan pie at Xmas and they are quite expensive.....this is why we haggle over pricing...it gives us experience for when we will have to barter to survive and your offer is barter....I hope you can find many folks that are interested....add to stack....
