I was wondering if you have any updates on the G.S.A. Earlier you had stated that early October we should hear some news. Thank you.

ANSWER

In the process of finalizing their decision, officials of the GSA and a collaborating agency, the Small Business Administration, had sought specific information pertaining to our support of goals set by the SBA, and therefore the GSA. One of the goals is that certain kinds of U.S. small business benefit from a successful program by being awarded sub-contracts for various services, where appropriate. Winning Brands has prepared certain schedules that describe candidates that fall into those categories of interest to the SBA/GSA. Over the past 2 weeks these have been reviewed, including our providing information as to the method used to make the choices we did. The exchanges have been active and current.

This most recent issue, i.e. providing evidence that appropriate planning had been carried out by us to ensure suitable future sub-contracting opportunities for business categories of interest to the SBA/GSA, added approximately 3 weeks to the approval process.

To the best of my understanding, our responses have met or exceeded the SBA/GSA goals, generally speaking. I am therefore still confident that we are a strong candidate for a positive decision.
