Yes sir they will drill first well deep and log all the zones on the way out to see exact which is the best. Derrick hand or mud hand will be busy on shale shaker gathering shaving. This takes longer to drill but speeds things up on the next several well sites.
My brother and I did this several times when we use to roughneck.
