PUMPs & dumpS Red Flagging DANGERS In The Penny Market

Green Companies Take The Green Out of Investors' Pockets

Green Energy Solution Technologies (SATM) takes over the SatMax shell in the latest Pump & Dump campaign involving a waste to energy converter. This idea has failed miserably countless times, perhaps the most memorable of which involved Thermo Tech Technologies (TTRIF), in which recognized scam artist Rene Braconnier managed to extract 100s of millions of dollars in one of the biggest schemes of the 1990s. More recent failed Pumps & Dumps involving "green" companies include; EEDG, OCTI, and of course colossal investor headache, GRHU.

Perhaps more of a concern with SATM is that OTC Markets (Pink Sheets) has labeled the company "Caveat Emptor" because current information has not been made available and because of questionable promotions. The company has never filed financial statements.

Another "green" Pump & Dump subject that is doomed to bring losses to investors is Mantra Venture Group (MVTG). Touts are trying to pimp the mumbo jumbo statements made by the company which are designed to blind investors with $50 words and statements that provide no substance. For example, "...has advanced to the examination phase in the process for world-wide patent recognition". Well this is a far cry from an actual patent. If only we had a dollar from every "examination", consideration", "potential" and "pending" that was pimped to no avail.

MVTG's boiler plate is particularly a head scratcher,
"Mantra, through its group of sustainable energy, carbon reduction and consumer product subsidiaries, is active in the green technology marketplace with an innovative, multi-faceted approach focused on profitability through sustainability. By aggressively seeking out new technologies and innovating solutions for a cleaner earth for everyone, Mantra intends to provide a highly profitable and environmentally responsible investment for its shareholders."
The only thing we understand out of this entire statement made up entirely of gobbledygook, is the word "intends", as in "maybe", as in "perhaps", as in "but in the meantime, in case things don't work out, we'll sell you our insider stock so that at least we make money". What we do understand is that this company had $2600 in revenue last year, while losing a million bucks; has $39K in the bank but owes $1.2 million; and, yet boasts a market cap of at least $4 million. We'll pass, thank you very much.

Shares of Raystream, Inc. (RAYS) are experiencing successful first hours of a new Pump & Dump campaign in spite of a recent 1 for 37 reverse split. The company, which claims to have proprietary video compression technology but doesn't tell us how they are going to make money from it, has almost $2 million in the bank, but owes the same amount of money. It has yet to earn its first dollar in revenues with 15 employees but somehow sees fit to boast a $200 million+ market cap. Uh, no.

Shares of DC Brands (HRDN) are undergoing a PnD, as 2011's umpteenth fitness drink is being promoted. Some of this year's investor faux pas in this area included BBDA, FHWY, and CUBV. We'll say it again: the specialty drink market makes for a lousy Pump & Dump subject.

The competition amongst insiders of AER Energy Resources (AERN), to divest themselves of their stock has finally taken its toll on the share price, as dumpers have resorted to bid whacking. Look for this to have one more mini run, as touts are pumping like crazy looking for the last of the suckers to become bag holders before this thing falls into the abyss.

We told you it would happen and it has. We said that the continued sideways Pump & Dump of Nyxio (NYXO) was eventually going to lead into disinterest by the street and bid whacking to rid insiders of remaining shares. Some of you who did not listen to our repeated warnings are now enjoying up to 60% losses with more to come. Same goes for shares of Auri, Inc (AURI) which have fallen 50%+ even though their story is much more realistic than the story offered by NYXO. Still, AURI was way overpriced and there was no way that the previous high share price of 70 cents could be justified on the company's fundamentals.
