mccoy...More For Less, Lawrence, Marshall......

Looks like he's in oil and energy alsowww.linkedin.com/pub/lawrence-butler/8/525/950.

The "More For Less" company that you see listed on Lawrence Butler's LinkedIn profile is a reference to a northern California convenience store chain (food, gas, etc). "Convenience Acquisition Company" is the partnership through which Lawrence participated in the purchase of the stores beginning in 1998. Here is an article from that time period.....

Lawrence probably does have some investments in the area of energy. For example, if you go to the "companies associated with Lawrence Butler" section of this corporationwiki page, one of the LLC companies that he formed in California two years ago (Bioenergy Partners, LLC) is involved in green energy investments......

I'm not sure if some of those companies he formed (Bioenergy Partners and Privateshares) are operating companies, venture capital related, or if they might be holding companies for some of his personal portfolio types of investments. See my post over on another board.....

An investment in AHAG is certainly speculative by its very nature, but I think it makes a good deal of sense to have a few shares tucked away in an account.

The kinds of connections that both Lawrence and Marshall have in the areas of venture/investment capital are extensive and impressive. While that doesn't guarantee a RM or development of a new business will ever occur (or a successful/profitable one from a retail investor standpoint), those connections and backgrounds of the Butlers are things that are pretty hard to ignore if you are a shell investor.
