AFPW has released a PR that it they are developing a new member of the Portable Balloon Inflation System (PBIS) family -- the PBIS-2000 -- at the request of a new, unspecified military customer with an urgent requirement.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The Government has a commodities requirement for Balloon Inflation System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 334519 with a size standard of 500 employees; the SIC code is 3829. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. The incorporated provisions and clauses are current to Fac 2005-53, Effective 4 Aug 2011. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, tools, parts, shipping, and all other items necessary to provide the following items:
